I would attempt to skip the Delta status match and get UA status match. While normally UA will not status match from another *A airline, if you explain the situation regarding job transfer to IAH, they might let you into E50 or E75.

Also IIRC status match involves sending in your flying transcripts, so going from AC->DL->UA might not be successful.
