True, you never know when somebody is going to try to bring on a cupcake, a light saber, a monkey with a 2-inch toy pistol, or a bottle of breast milk, or when someone is going to present a NEXUS card as an ID.
The TSA's vigilance stops 30% of all weapons brought to the checkpoint, so that only 70% make it onto airplanes. Who knows what would happen if that number were 71% or 72%.
