Evil agent at T1 MLL
I had a very nasty experience today with the agent at the T1 MLL.
I was on a fare that had been upgraded both on the outbound portion (using SWU) and on the return portion (SWU to be given at the time of return).
It turns out that the employees made an error and it was some sort of weird class that didn't quite qualify for upgrades. Fine.
As I entered the lounge, she was very snooty, and wanted:
(a) my boarding pass, then
(b) my wife's boarding pass, then
(c) my Aeroplan card.
I handed these over and she started nattering on about something to do with "you can't use your points on this fare". To which I said "ok" (no idea what she was talking about). After I left the desk, she then proceeded to pull up my itinerary, and paged me back.
She then downgraded me out of J.
If AC had just told me at the start that the fare did not qualify, that would be one thing. But this snooty, nasty agent left me with one of the worst AC experiences I have had.
Why would a MLL agent even be looking at my itinerary? Any other time I've gone through an MLL, I flash my card, they say "thank you!" and let me in.
This woman was middle aged, dark hair, some kind of accent, fake smile. Nasty.
Any ideas what the heck happened?
