Interestingly, I stopped staying at this property because of a surly front desk agent as well. Not Jason, but I can't remember his name. (Oliver?) I had been staying 3/4 nights a week, 2 weeks a month for several months. Never once was upgraded as a Diamond. I also had several (different) maintenance issues when staying there.

I moved my business to the SNA Doubletree (not DT CLub) across the street and am much happier there. Cleaner, newer, no issues with the front desk staff. Same full breakfast for Diamonds. Fantastic breakfast staff. The only difference is that the parking is self parking only, for $15, in a garage underneath the hotel - with no option for valet. Not an issue for me, but thought it worth mentioning.
