From memory, I'll read the article next and see how well I recalled.

1. The first sanitation worker in NYC history to die in the line of duty died that day in Staten Island.

2. My dad's fire company was first on scene. He was off that day. (He was the nozzle man at the USS Constellation fire that happened soon before that.)

3. The Brooklyn plane landed across the street from a Catholic grammar school in an abandoned lot/buildings.
