I am wondering if something has changed with regard to using points to upgrade a paid stay to a suite. I've never done it before personally, but I was under the impression that if I book a Hyatt Daily/Flexible rate then I can upgrade to a suite for 6,000 points. So I made a booking at PH Melbourne (Daily rate of 315 AUD) but two separate Hyatt GP agents told me that I'd have to pay another 315 AUD in addition to 6000 points in order to do the upgrade. What gives?
