I don't currently have a Visa or MC. I've been considering the RBC Avios card, but the flights are sparce and I haven't been able to make sense of the program for my needs. The shorthaul availability is beginning of the week and nothing for late week or weekends. Plus California Avios is the same amount of points for Florida on AE. So I get just as much juice going to Florida on AE, without diluting the points.

I like to keep my points concentrated on one program unless there is serious consideration to start another program. I've got 230K MR points, that if there is a transfer bonus for Avios promotion in March, I may consider shifting some points there and start collecting Avios.

I was considering the Aventura MC, but the transferability to AE is shutting down. In hindsight, I should have took advantage of the 15K FYF offer. But the fact, I had to spend another 5K to transfer 10K increments from Aventura to AE, sort of had me gunshy.

Right now, there is no Visa Offer that TD is introducing that is perking my interest. My wife has a Visa, so covers the purchases that's only possible in our household. Hopefully there is a sweet deal that surfaces in the New Year. I will apply for a Visa on the right deal.
