AirAsia is actually a brand with several different airlines. There's AirAsia Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia etc, hence the different IATA codes. Their menus aren't exactly the same.
I assume they're set up that way for legal, trans-border reasons. And I did notice that the meals can differ a little depending on which "airline" you're actually flying, which I assume is to satisfy local tastes and available catering options (and there seems to be many, many menu choices on each "airline"). Other than these quirks, I also assume the Air Asia "experience" is pretty much the same regardless of which two-letter code your flight has?
