AF hit Nov 29 for my US Airways MC, so I called this evening about getting fee waived. I asked agent about the fee, and told her I was concerned that the card would not be around due to the merger, and didn't want to pay AF for a card that might not exist next year. She said she could ask approval for a waiver, placed me on hold for about a minute, came back and said she would credit the fee back to my account. Less than $600 total spend on the card this year.
Thank you! Called today and they waived it (also waited on hold for a bit, but the guy came back on and said it will be reflect in the next billing cycle). ++
