I'm cleaning up my GP account. My work books and pays for my stays. They book directly with Hyatt. I don't stay at Hyatt much, but enough that I'd qualify for Plat, if the guy I just spoke to didn't tell me that:
Stays not paid for by me do not qualify for stay credit.
I know I don't get the points for anything other than incidentals.
Is this true? If not, how do I convince them otherwise? He was pretty adamant.
HGP is a personal membership and only one entity receives credit. You can tell who receives credit by the HGP membership number entered on the folio upon checkout.. Even if someone else pays for it or if an entirely different name is on the folio. The HGP number on the folio at checkout is the key.
