No trouble buying meals and luggage (US$40 bought me 5 meals and 50 kg of checked luggage on one itinerary), but I didn't pay for seat assignments and they gave me 5 random seats in 3 adjacent rows. Something like 17C, 17F, 19B, 19C and 18A. Seemed almost spiteful, but at least it wasn't 5 middle seats. If I can communicate with my fellow pax in a common language, perhaps we can switch seats on board to be together.
Otherwise, we'll have to pass between rows our $3 "Nasi Padang Uda Ratman" and "Nasi Minyak Palembang" for tasting.
