I have a couple of wait lists entered for domestic space for international business or GF itineraries that will happen after Feb. 1. I'm still not sure what will happen to my mileage pricing if these wait lists clear after Feb. 1. Will United insist on taking more miles from me when the wait list clears? I have no clue.

My particular problems are slightly more complicated than economy to domestic first on the same flight. In one case, I want to fly on the same route, but on a flight that is three hours later than the one I have booked. In this case all the direct flights are RJ's with no first available. In the other case, my reservation is for a ridiculous connection (in first) that starts about 24 hours later than I want. I'm wait listed for direct flights when I want them, either in economy or first.
