I'm with RadioGirl on this. I was going on an extended trip, and thought about bringing my razor "base" with me. Considering the flammability logos, I thought it would be a bad idea.

The liquid is really just a scented alcohol, so I don't know how much worse it is than--say--Stolichnaya. But it would probably get the TSA's attention, and I also wouldn't want to risk bringing anything non board that could potentially catch on fire in the cargo hold. If Braun is that concerned, I'll heed their advice.

I used the razor for a month without the alcohol cleaning system. I remained clean-shaven.
