Also consider the value of the welcome amenity that Hyatt Diamonds get. For example, at a full-service hotel the welcome amenity can be 1000 points per stay, times your 15 projected stays, equals ... an amount too large to ignore.

Basically $1200 (valuing Hyatt points at 2 cents each). Does anyone have an opinion if this is worth it? I expect to stay at Hyatt hotels roughly +/-15 nights the following year. The value I’d equate to Diamond status for me would be:
1. Breakfast + RC drinks and snacks = $30/stay x 15 = $450
2. 4 Suite upgrades = $0 since I would only use Points or Points + Cash for all my stays
3. Room upgrades = No idea what to value this at since I am already a Platinum and get upgrades around 80% of the time. Can anyone place a dollar amount on the value of a Diamond upgrade vs. Platinum? Also, how often can I expect an upgrade as a Diamond?
Thanks!
