My understanding is that UP2A/B is the code for the airport standby list for upgrades with SWUs. The waitlist (before the gate) codes are different.
When you contact DL, ask them what your priority code is, do not ask if it is UP2A. [Some agents answer yes to get you off the phone if they think that this is the answer you're seeking.]
