Yes we have heard all about how the JV was the answer to cancellation of NRT-BKK. Please note that UA's JV partner has just this week announced a capacity reduction on that route, cutting two daily flights to one. Per a post up-thread, UA is apparently now trying to put displaced pax on its non-JV partner, TG.
The assertion that the cancellation of NRT-BKK is all part of some carefully considered strategic plan to shift load to a JV partner is sheer fantasy.

Or better yet, switch to AA and fly CX to Asia. That's what I'm looking at.
