Are the passenger's age listed and verified? Seems to me, if age is a point of verification, the intended perpetrator can list an age slightly off the actual age, can circumvent the system just as much as a passenger listed as a child can.
Still not sure what the advantage of listing a passenger as a child would circumvent the system anymore than a change of details can?
They require no ID. So Jim Smith, who happens to be on the no fly list, books a tickets as Bob Jones, age 16. Bob Jones is on no such list. Because "Bob" is 16, he doesn't even have to prove he is Bob (never mind prove he is only 16).
