I would like to see ID required for all passengers tbh - a 17 year old is just as capable as an 18 year old of hijacking a plane.
Are the passenger's age listed and verified? Seems to me, if age is a point of verification, the intended perpetrator can list an age slightly off the actual age, can circumvent the system just as much as a passenger listed as a child can.

Still not sure what the advantage of listing a passenger as a child would circumvent the system anymore than a change of details can?
