I stayed also last year at the BH and although the garden was nice and staff very attentive the buildings were horrid. The bath room in the suite was the tiniest I have seen in many years. 2 years to renovate says it all in regard to what is required to bring that property back on track.
There are different bathrooms in different suites. The best that I've been in is in the suite that was designed as a suite, and not the just "throw two rooms together, and call them suite". The last one I had in September was quite a bit better than the standard suite one. Huge patio, with Gazebo, hammock, and outside shower, too.
It will be interesting to see what the BH looks like when it reopens. I hope that it retains its Balinese flavor, service and reasonable prices.
