Recently stayed at the Hilton Mainz City. While my stay was fine, I feel that the Hilton Mainz is now the better choice. The quality of the room was adequate, no different really from the rooms at the Hilton Mainz, but they don't have a Rhine view option.

I didn't choose to eat breakfast, but looked at the buffet. The choices seemed more limited than those at the Hilton Mainz, and quite frankly tired - they did not seem to have been refreshed recently. Also, no river view from the restaurant. Finally, the front desk staff were (with the exception of one young woman) less knowledgeable about the area, and limited in their restaurant recommendations. They seemed to have three or four which they rotated around.
