Last week however, after being seated, the purser came over and moved the curtain forward, apologizing that the plane had not been configured correctly. So was effectively moved from the last row of Business to the first row of Economy. Food and drink was regular economy fare.

Does anyone know if this is the new standard for PE when flying on KL operated legs?
No, this is not the new standard. AMS-CDG is the only route where KL has this "Premium" service so this might be a mistake from the Flight Attendants.
