Were you unable to buckle your belt? I would have refused flying in it.
As for the other problems, if there were no other seats you could switch to then I think they owe you compensation if you were unable to recline.
I had a similar problem in paid business class BKK-IST where the footrest wouldn't stay up. TK refused compensation since there were other seats I could have switched to (I didn't as I wanted to stay with my companion). I think TK's decision was fair.
