I am one of the marginal customers that this will benefit. ^ I had a TPAC on KE this year, credited AS but no EQM. This left me to keep my AA flights crediting to AA for the credit card baggage waiver, ending the year with no status and a diversified mileage balance. Had this been in effect for 2013, I would have been all in with Mileage Plan and partners rather than splitting up the accrual and even flying Southwest on occasion.
