What were you using as the funding source? If using a $100 GC they may have done the $1.00 authorization when you registered the card with AP. If so, you need to wait for that to fall off before you can use the entire $100. There is a workaround when first entering future GC's.
I did the wrong expiration date trick when saving the card and then changed it to the right one. I'll wait a few days and try again.
