In late 1999, after AA acquired Business Express, BOS was Eagle's third biggest hub, after DFW and ORD. Between mainline and regionals, AA had 163 daily flights to 29 cities in the USA, Canada, Caribbean and Europe:

With this merger, new AA is once again the biggest airline in BOS by revenue share and the second largest by market share after B6. Unless there's some compelling reason for new AA to shrink at BOS (I can't think of any), new AA might even expand a little there, like reinstating BOS-SFO and perhaps flying BOS-DUB. New AA's costs are lower than UA's costs, and old AA has been successful in taking away some UA revenue over the past two years, so now's the time to build on that momentum.
