Presumably the window seat passenger had climbed over this passenger at least once during the flight (unless he has remarkable bladder capacity). So are we really so sure that he should be ashamed?
+1 I do know the symptoms of a CVA so the fact that the person couldn't speak (aphasia) and move (hemiplegia) and the fact that it's a night flight so most people are sleeping and not moving probably compounded the issue. Also since he was travelling solo, there was no one who could alert others to his plight. For most patients who present with a dense CVA, a family member or caregiver is the one who recognizes what has happened...
