I know the person in question (I've worked with him for nearly 15 years), and the story is completely true. The story was picked up by the Daily Mail as it is in syndication, as the original story was done by one of the women's magazines.

I was with him on Monday when I was visiting the UK, and he is making great progress since the strokes, and is doing a great amount of support for others that have suffered from strokes and trying to raise awareness of how to spot the symptoms.
