I love gatwick for a number of reasons, BUT they always get cancelled out when I have some sort of mind block and end up checking a bag on my return flight to lgw...
Those couple of bottles of nice wine or whatever has made me check the bag always have me cursing during the 30-60 mins it usually takes for bags to appear (is it just me?)
T5 on the other hand, my bag is on the belt before I get there 9/10 flights, mostly short haul admittedly. Maybe ba have a deal with ukba to manage queues make this possible
