Confused by this statement. Plat/Aeroplat is offered by annual fee. Just wondering if you can clarify what promo you're referring Amex won't allow new applicants.

Nice... I guess Amex may release some new cards soon as well. Will be interesting to see what happens. TD will have to modify their position, surely TD/CIBC/AMEX will hopefully generate some competition. Also, CIBC should have some new cards so I wonder what they will come up with.
.. Or just continuing what Amex has been offering. Not sure what a mid-tier Amex can offer that either the Gold or Plat can't offer for mid-range fee?
