Good run down, but AA do operate domestic flights to/from D. True, international arrivals are basically into D, but other than that a "D" flights can be to/from anywhere.

I have flown US/UA quite a few times in/out of DFW "E" and there are not that many US flights. Indeed, at times "E" can be like a ghost town while the one's to the north are busy.

As indicated by Microwave, DFW has room to breath, current renovations notwithstanding.
