Hi everyone,

I am trying to figure out a way to book award travel in J from NYC-AKL-PPT-NYC. Is there any way to do this in one alliance? I think this is possible using DL miles on Air Tahiti Nui (LAX-PPT-AKL-PPT-LAX). Are there other ways of routing? I have enough points in all the alliances. Star seems to not be ideal to get between PPT-LAX without backtracking via AKL. One World does not appear to be an option.

Another possibility might be DL/VA LAX-SYD, then VA SYD-AKL-RAR, then TN PPT-LAX. I have obvious concerns about availability as well but the trip would not be for over a year.

Thoughts?
