You should know that CDG is a route LY tends to make a lot of plane changes on, especially at the last minute, and especially in the morning flights. That's because they are only 3 hours apart, so in case there is a problem with another plane (even on other route) they tend to combine them, and if needed, switch to a larger plane (and use the plane of the cancelled flight on another flight). Happened to me a few time with the CDG route. They sometimes even cancel both flights, and just create a new one in the middle (also happened to me).
I once had a plane change CDG-TLV. The flight was supposed to be on a empty 767-200 but was changed to an over-booked 737-800. For me this was great because I got an op-up
