Hi,

Just had a letter today telling me that my CX gold card expires in 5 months and they are giving me a further 7 months membership until end Nov 2014, good news for me and total 18 months of Gold via amex plat.

Bad news is after that date the Amex Plat deal ends and I need to earn Gold through 30,000 club miles or 20 club sectors - which is half of the normal requirements to be fair to CX.

So good news and bad news, but looks like the CX Gold card auto renewing beyond 1 year that some have had is coming to an end
