I am another who likes Gatwick.

Getting there - 30 mins from London Bridge.
Fast track - usually staff outnumber passengers
The lounges - Galleries for drinks (and porridge if in morning), No1 for food
The staff - very helpful
Sleeping - Sofitel Gatwick
