Totally agree with you ! It's a temporary measure while the PSO is put in place.

As for LGW, iv previously put my opinion but I think BA could and should invest in the lounge, at the least they could offer one or two hot options to supplement the current offering.

As for routes, again iv previously expressed my opinion but some proper domestic and euro routes would be brilliant, NCL, MAD, CDG, INV, NQY, MAN, DUB etc.

Also there has to be a case to offer something to the US into an AA hub that could offer onward connections.
