Sorry, no pictures. Checked in here the other night as a Diamond. Didn't ask for an upgrade, so I got presumably the regular King room. Very spacious. I would say it is a bit bigger than the size of a Double in the Hyatt Place Midtown. Definitely bigger than the normal Union Square, and feels more 'open' than the Grand Hyatt. Everything in the bathroom is new, and the faucets are designed normally (not set too low as in several other NYC Hyatts). They use the same soap/shampoo as the Hyatt Place. Loved the huge and tall closet.

Now for the most important part for me: the breakfast. It is a very nicely arranged English breakfast (few hot and cold items) buffet. They had French toast, scalloped potatoes, a very nice frittata, omelette bar, oatmeal, cereals, and a bunch of different kinds of pastries. Juice, coffee, and a couple other drinks were also included. It was served in a meeting room as their regular restaurant eating area is not open yet. I did not mind at all as it felt very cozy.

I booked the hotel at a rate that was comparable to the Hyatt Place; I would go here every time if that was always the case. Definitely will be coming back.
Thanks for the review. I look forward to my stay over Christmas. In regards to the breakfast meeting room, is it open all day for drinks/coffee like the GH lounge?
