My legal rep in the UK will be coming from my exgf who has been using his services for 10 years now.

The family I would be purchasing from is also making all their reps (legal and who maintains the homes) available to me also at no charge.

I am less afraid of them trying to pull one over on me than me just not knowing what my responsibilities are and getting in over my head financially. Paying for my apartment here in Manhattan and then getting slammed with twice as much expenses for a home in London would hurt.

Learned a lot today from my attorney here in NY who called their London Office over the weekend and got a lot of info. The only real question is how the paperwork would be worded and formed and how the Government will evaluation for taxing during the sale and after. That and the structural evaluation will lead to my decision. Can't wait to go over Christmas time.

Any comments on the neighborhood of Clerkenwell?
