As far as I am awre that is just the requirement for ticking the box on the staff travel site. But does give a good indication as to an acceptable age for occupancy.
When I was on BA staff travel I was told I could be seated on the jump seat in the galley but never in the flight deck. The only time I was on a jump seat was with Alitalia from Rome, manageable but for a longer flight it would be tough.
