Since the replies got slightly off-topic, I'm going to ask again: would a patch or anything like a Band-Aid on your body be seen with the full body scanners that are in use in airports now?
I will give you a totally unusable answer, but it is my experience. I my work, it is not unusual to get scrapes and skin abrasions. I carry 2x4 adhesive bandages just for this. Sometimes they see them and pat the area down. Sometimes they don't. Didn't help much, I know. Definitely a YMMV area.
