You´re right. If it indeed it as ice conditions and not a pilot´s mistake, I´d agree it´s not LH´s fault. The idea that a taxiway would be too icey for a plane to drive on at a slow speed is somewhat disturbing considering that the same folks are responsible for clearing the runway.
I recall a few incident´s where pilots made a mistake, but you´re right, it could just as well be the airport screwing up.
