One world 280K RTW fare issues

Hi all

Hoping for some help. I have booked 2 tix in business around the world on One World in August and September next year as follows:
MEL-BRI-LAX
LAX-WAS
WAS-NYC
NYC-PAR
PAR-HKG
SIN-MEL

A few issues have come up:
1. US domestic flights.
As they are economy or first only, we are booked into economy. Last time we did the same fare in 2011 and were booked in economy, we were put in "first". Was this just done randomly or is there a reasonable chance of the same upgrade?

2. Baggage
My understanding is that the highest baggage allowance on the ticket applies all the way through, even though (for example), the US domestic flights say no baggage included. Is this still true, so we get 3 bags everywhere?

3. Malayasian airlines
We actually want to go from Paris to Kuala Lumpur but there is apparently no availability in any classes on the daily MAS A380 flight. Qantas doesn't let me search it so is there a way to verify this? Ditto from KL to Melbourne - we are surfacing to Singapore currently to pick up a QF flight.

4. Cathay pacific
In the absence of MAS flights from Paris, we are flying to HKG. But even though there is heaps of availability to connect from HKG to KUL (4 flights, business and economy seats), qantas are saying that Cathay will not allow them to book it as PAR-HKG-KUL flight as part of the 280k fare - some issue with being unable to ticket it as a connecting flight, even though I could book it separately for 76000 points and $770 in taxes which I don't want to do!!

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Any help on any of these questions would be greatly appreciated!!

Cheers
Michael
