Hello, newbie here Thought to share my latest TG experience with everyone.

Flew TG636's business class last month, and my flight got "TG'd" to an 19-year-old 333: HS-TED. Flight was also 2 hours delayed; due to late arrival of aircraft from Phuket, flight purser explained several TG planes were stranded due to thunderstorm in Phuket. Therefore many TG flights (departing from BKK) got switched in last minute.

Days before my trip, I checked plane finder records on TG636; they were mostly flown by newest version of 330 (HS-TB_) for the month of November, and my friend who booked the same flight but different class, was planning on watching movie on the way back, which she didn't finish on previous flight (TG635). I joked that the chance of our flight getting "TG'd" in last minute might be high; as it happened to me twice in past 12 months: first one happened a year ago with TG635; it was flown by HS-TEJ, and thanks to planefinder for the early heads up, so I purposely delayed my trip for 2 extra days and got rewarded with HS-TEP. Second time happened with TG634 (March this year): swapped to HS-TEH, since I was in economy, it became my privilege--- I always feel the older economy seat pitch is somehow larger (I'm 6'), and the cushion is softer. TG636 tends to always park at gate D1A; meaning bus to the aircraft, our bus passed by several older 330s and 306, it eventually reduced speed in front of 77W... My heart beat literally skipped and thought it was my luckiest day, well of course our bus passed that beautiful 77W and made a sharp left turn, I laughed once I spotted PW engine attached to a not so clean looking 333... Man, I should really consider buying a lotto! Long story short, my friend swore that she would never fly with me on any TG flight.

I also flew TG636 C class last year, at the time it was scheduled with older 333; but one could always hope for the last minute swap to newer version, and of course it didn't happen and ended up with oldest: HS-TEB! At least 30 minute foot massage plus impeccable, attentive inflight service compensated for the old plane frustration.
