Yep - you were typing while I was on the phone with LH who told me pretty much the same thing.

The 2nd PNR was caused because, as you say, I'm partly flying LH booked via UA and partly on a codeshare (MUC-ORD) with a UA flight number.

The only confusing part is that UA has one of the PNRs as being "primary" and LH has the other.

I'm expecting checkin to be a mess, but at least I have seats on all 3 LH legs, confirmed just now by the LH agent.
