Checked in online for a AKL-MEL flight via the app. No hitches as worked really well. BP gets downloaded to the app with your seat, class of travel, FF info and passport number. Scanned at the gate fine no worries. The crew onboard were a bit mystified and the first time they'd seen it used so had the FSM and a couple of others come up and have a look at the app and BP a bit closer.

Only issue is that when you got AKL premium there is still only 4 kiosks there and it seems that with the new app out they are trying to do away with manual checkin at premium altogether. About 10 people waiting for 4 kiosks so it would have been faster to use the mass kiosks at normal checkin. Dropped a bag off and the BP on the phone automatically updates with your bag tag number.
