Honestly given the terrain, unpredictible weather, lack of airport safety features found at commercial airports, and other factors Id feel much better having a seasoned 68 year old pilot who has been flying Bush flights for 35 years rather than some 35 year old thats been flying bush Alaska for 5 years. Alaska has more crashes per year than the rest of the US combined. Most are the results of inexperience and ignorance. I actually witnessed a plane hit a building at the end of Merril field about 5 years ago roughly.
