On a separate note, when do points for flight purchases on Southwest hit? Since there are no change fees, would pre-buying a whole bunch of Southwest flights for the year make sense? They are 8 pts/$ when using the CC's to buy....
Just echoing toomanybooks' response.. If you want to be absolutely sure, go ahead and wait until 2014. But any spend after 12/10 should not hit until next year.
