The secondary security check at the boarding gate was very slow because they questioned every single passengers about where they came from before this flight, who packed your bags, was there anything that looked like a weapon in your bag, etc. etc. before putting the stickers on, and the security personnel were kind of rude. Felt sorry for the passengers who didn't speak much English.
They did the same when I flew IST-LAX in July 2011, and again last week. There were fewer passport and document checks than last time (brief questioning, passport checked only three times, versus TEN+ the last time, not to mention confiscating all liquids). The process seemed smoother this time. Is it just me, or is Gate 208 now in a new location, in the mezzanine? Or do I not remember this area correctly?
