Well there are persons--some posted here --who has prior bankruptcy and eventually did get new credit card. Do you mean that you know for fact that Chase changed that former more lenient policy?

The only way to recover is to repay every single dime that Chase is forced to discharge, which is not your legal obligation.
That's why since there is no legal obligation, Chase can do whatever you want to you.
