I am puzzled how did they confirm that this person was removed from the blacklist, when Chase does not even acknowledge that they have blacklist?

Not the case. I knew a Chase private client got blacklisted (all accounts closed) without credit issue.
He is now more happy with Charles Schwab.
Chase officially confirmed with my friend that he is de-listed over the phone.
Based on the poster's comment, it does not seem it is the case.
