The third option is to fly the leg in Y, but with all those miles, why bother?
3. As long as this isn't a once-a-year destination, why not get a one-way award on another airline, to match up with your (rescheduled) DL return? If you need to, get a new cc with a fat bonus, or even buy some miles.
